25 Things You Don't Have To Justify To Anyone

I stumbled upon this great article yesterday and it immediately uplifted my spirits. Unfortunately, we live in an extremely judgmental society where you feel you need to justify your personal decisions in life. After reading this I felt so much better about the choices I have made in my life and why I really shouldn't give a crap about what other people think about me, my lifestyle or things I have done in the past. So if you are feeling down, ashamed or embarrassed read this:

1. Your job. Yes, even if you’re working something that other people condescendingly term “not a real job,” such as retail or service. If you have a job of any kind in this economy, you’ve already won.
2. Whether or not you have debt. If you managed to get out of your education debt-free, that doesn’t mean that your life is a financial walk in the park that you constantly have to be apologizing for. If you are in debt, it doesn’t mean you got a “worthless” degree and now deserve to be shamed for struggling to find work after you were convinced by your school that you were making a good decision.
3. The kind of food you enjoy eating, or why you enjoy eating. (No matter how “uncultured” or “boring” or “gross” someone else might deem your favorite food.)
4. Your decision to have children, or not have them, or to not be sure if you even want them.

Music Monday: Beyonce Halftime Show

If you are like me who doesn't have cable and even if you did own cable you wouldn't watch the Superbowl anyways you may have missed the live performance of the Queen B herself. After the live performance I made sure to check youtube every 5 minutes to see if her performance was uploaded. Beyonce has three biggest fans: Me, Myself and I. Where other pray to the Christian god I pray to Beyonce. I have perfected the Single Ladies dance and I can sing Check Up On It faster than Busta Rhymes. She is the most beautiful and talented woman on the entire planet. I may have shed a tear during the performance (I'm proud of my Queen ok don't judge me). When Kelly and Michelle joined her on stage I almost had a panic attack. Ok I think I have expressed my dear admiration for Beyonce for you to understand how incredible I think she is. If you missed her perfect Superbowl Halftime performance check it out now:

To Do Sunday

Last night I attended a Charity Ball hosted by my University and now I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach so I think I'll spend the rest of my Sunday being lazy and laying in bed (not like I do much more then that anyways)

TO EAT
This scrumptious chocolate chip banana oatmeal pancake has no butter or sugar! Finally something healthy that may actually taste good!
TO WEAR
This Petite Bow Jumper is adorable!
TO LISTEN
I'm obsessing over this song

TO DECORATE
A gold chevron wall.. just lovely.

TO SEE
I'm terrified of birds but this picture is beautiful

TO CREATE
This floating heart backdrop is perfect for Valentine's Day pictures!

Back To Jasper

If you have been following me for a while now you will know that I lived in a small town in the Rocky Mountains called Jasper. I'm going back! I lived there for four months last summer where I met my wonderful boyfriend Paul who still lives there and I've decided to go back again this summer. I got a job at the same place so I'll most likely be living with Paul during the summer and then dragging Paul along to Ontario while I'm finishing school after the summer is finished. I visited Jasper in December and my breathing wasn't going as well as I had hoped (the altitude makes it hard for me to breathe) I'm hoping that it won't be an issue for me this summer or I'll be travelling everywhere with my handy dandy puffer. It's difficult for me to hike the mountains because of this so I tend to stick to hikes where the elevation isn't too high. But waking up to a mountain in your front yard never gets old it literally takes my breath away. The picture above is the first picture of myself in Jasper last summer and it's been my favourite ever since. Fellow blogger Nicole from Gypsy in Jasper also lives there who I had the pleasure of meeting when I visited in December. I'll be sure to blog about my life in Jasper plenty this summer!
